BMW Genius (A minimum of 3 years with a DL)

Position Purpose

The BMW Genius is responsible for providing personalized pressure free customer interaction and Guest satisfaction to Guests within the assigned Dealership. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promptly and courteously greet Guests in the showroom behaving as a host answering any question the Guest may have.
  • Recognize the point at which your informative role ends and the (selling) Sales Consultant begins.
  • Possess in-depth, expert knowledge of the brand and products in order to answer any questions the Guest has regarding vehicle that is being delivered.
  • Identify Guest’s needs.
  • Provide thorough product demonstration and explanation of key technology features, at the Guest’s request.
  • Follow-up with Guest to answer product questions.
  • Perform 2nd deliveries (if necessary).
  • Troubleshoot “feature function” questions on the service drive.
  • Pairing and/or syncing phones and explaining features on vehicle loaners.
  • Present DIY resources.
  • Conduct “service lounge” clinics.
  • Provide in-store sales staff training.
  • Be present during all Guest clinics.
  • Assist CIC/BDC with Guest questions.
  • Maintain product knowledge through dealer training and self-study.
  • Follow-up sale to determine Guest satisfaction and re-enforce the sales experience.
  • Maintain a professional and business-like standard of dress consistent with the dress code requirements of the dealership.
  • Know and follow work schedule arriving to work on time.
  • Maintain work areas keeping offices clean and organized at all times.
  • Introduce Guest to Service and Parts Department and Service Advisor if possible.
  • Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.
  • Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
  • Adhere to work schedule and arrive at work before your scheduled start time and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time.
  • Must maintain accurate attendance records “clocking in and out”.
  • Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned.
