Position Purpose
The Cashier is responsible for receiving and accounting for all financial transactions; monitors, processes; maintains transaction paperwork in line with generally accepted business and accounting practices; and participates in maintaining the CSI at or over goal level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives and reconciles all monies (cash, checks, credit cards) taken in against total Parts and Service tickets and against the Parts and Service Sales Journals.
- Ensure Repair Orders and subsequent payment procedures are followed completely.
- Handle customer service questions directly if able or transfer to Service Advisors.
- Alert Service Department for customer vehicle pick-ups.
- Answer incoming Service calls.
- Communicate clearly, pleasantly and accurately the amount due on customer service repair order or any purchase.
- Keep repair orders, charge slips, and other related paperwork continually organized in a standard filing system available for immediate reference and retrieval.
- Adhere to work schedule and arrive at work before your scheduled start time and be at your work station productively engaged by the scheduled time.
- Complies with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety and personal protection equipment as required.
- Adhere to established dress code policy at all times.
- Safeguard customer and Dealer information per established policy.
- Exemplifies organizational culture and holds others in department accountable for doing the same.
- Accomplishes all current and future tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
- Other related duties as may be assigned.
